Unbounded Cloud ("we", "us") builds free tools and data services on top of open government data. This policy explains what information is processed when you use our websites and what choices you have.

Who we are

Unbounded Cloud operates unbounded-cloud.com and its tool subdomains: NI Fuel Prices, the NI Rates Calculator, and the MOT Checker. You can reach us at [email protected].

Information we process

We aim to collect as little personal information as possible.

• Information you enter into a tool — for example a postcode in the Rates Calculator or a vehicle registration in the MOT Checker. These inputs are used solely to return the result you asked for and to query the relevant public data source. We do not use them to identify you and we do not build profiles from them.
• Standard server logs — like most websites, our servers automatically record technical details such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and a timestamp. These are used for security, abuse prevention and to keep the service running.
• We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not knowingly collect names, email addresses or payment details through normal use of the tools.

Cookies and advertising

Our sites are supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense to display ads.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our sites and/or other sites on the internet.
• You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices or youronlinechoices.eu.

Third-party data sources

Our tools query public data sources to produce results (for example the UK Government fuel price scheme, Land & Property Services rating data, and the DVSA MOT service). When you use a tool, the relevant query is sent to that source to retrieve the answer. Those organisations operate under their own privacy policies.

Data retention

Server logs are retained only for as long as needed for security and operational purposes and are then deleted or anonymised. Tool inputs are processed in the moment and are not stored against your identity.

Your rights

If you are in the UK or EU, data protection law gives you rights over your personal data, including the right to access, correct or erase it. Because we do not maintain user accounts, we hold very little information that could identify you; contact us if you have a specific request.

Children

Our services are general-purpose information tools and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date above.
