The service

We provide free, ad-supported informational tools built on open government data. The tools are offered "as is" and may change, be interrupted, or be withdrawn at any time without notice.

No professional advice

Results from our tools — such as estimated rates bills, fuel prices, MOT information, take-home pay figures or grant eligibility indications — are provided for general guidance only and do not constitute financial, tax, legal, automotive or other professional advice. Always verify important information with the official source before relying on it or making a decision.

Two points deserve particular emphasis. Our take-home pay figures are estimates based on published HMRC rates and standard assumptions about your tax code and pension arrangement; your actual payslip depends on circumstances we cannot see, and nothing on that site is tax advice or a recommendation to make or alter a pension contribution. Our energy grants tool indicates which schemes appear worth applying for based on published criteria — it is not a decision, not an application, and not a guarantee of funding. Every scheme operator assesses your full circumstances and funding availability, and only they can decide.

Accuracy and availability

We take reasonable care to present accurate, up-to-date information, but we do not warrant that the data is complete, current or error-free. The underlying public datasets are maintained by third parties and can contain inaccuracies or be delayed. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any loss arising from use of, or reliance on, the sites.

Acceptable use

• Do not use the sites for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage, disable or impair the service.
• Do not attempt to scrape, overload, or gain unauthorised access to our systems or data.
• Do not misuse the tools to harass others or to process data you are not entitled to look up.

Intellectual property

Public sector information presented on the sites is used under the Open Government Licence v3.0. The Unbounded Cloud name, site design and original text are ours; please don't copy them wholesale without permission.

Advertising

The sites display third-party advertising (Google AdSense). See our Privacy Policy for how cookies and advertising work and how to manage your preferences.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time; the "last updated" date above will change accordingly. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
